Winter walk and birds

Managed to get out on a little walk before the rain. A grey, but balmy morning. Lots of birds out. Below, a Junco in a White Pine.  



Also saw this little mohawked duck diving for fish, a female Hooded Merganser.

    You have pretty birds where you live! I live in downtown Seattle and haven't seen much more than Crows, American Robins and European Starlings, but maybe I'll get lucky soon.

      Hehe, sounds like typical city birds. I'm sure you have some cool ones a bit further out.
