Black Cat Watercolor Painting

I painted this watercolor portrait of my cat, Tintin, last week. I don't think Tintin is a typical black cat. His fluffy, shorter than average tail sticks straight up most of the time. He loves to eat lettuce. He knows his own name and, like any good cat, enjoys finding amusing places to nap. He also likes to do (hilarious) somersaults and slowly amble around like a miniature bear.

    1. It's usually one of the tougher colors to work with. Thanks!

  2. Beautiful portrait of TinTin. I love the green background complementing his eyes. I have heard of dogs eating lettuce, but never cats!

    1. Hehe yeh, most of the cats i've known prefer stuff like tuna or milk. Oh well, he likes his greens.

  3. Black cats are HARD TO PAINT. I love your style - you just absolutely nail it, with the perfect amount of detail. Have admired your work on Etsy for a while :)
